Assessment tools and the Grade Center

Checking the test

  • Under Control Panel, click on Grade Center > Needs Grading.

Here, you will find an overview of tests that still need to be graded.
Use the buttons at the top of the screen to select tests by Category, Item, User or Date Submitted.
  • Click on the name of the student whose test needs to be graded.
The Grade Current Attempt screen appears. In the Grade field, you enter the grade achieved for the test as a whole or for a part of the test (e.g., a question).

At the bottom right, you can click through to the next student.
  • After assessing each test, click on Save and Next.

In this screen, you can see which questions still need to be graded and the grades given so far. The following symbols are used:
     still needs to be graded
     passed/correct
     failed/wrong
You can enter your grade in the appropriate field.Once all questions have been graded, click on Submit to save the information on the server. This will take you back to the previous screen.

In the Full Grade Center, go to the Control Panel and click on Tests, which now includes the scores. Teaching staff can adjust the scores in this screen, as well as any automatically calculated scores.

This is particularly useful for Multiple Answer questions, for which students may be given partial credits.
