The Assignments function makes it possible for to give students assignments that are linked to the Grade Center. The instructor can make files available and students can ‘hand in’ their work. Files can be opened and assessed in the Grade Center, and for each student and for each assignment, specific comments may be added.

Every time a student hands in an assignment a submission confirmation receipt will be made. The teachers will find the submission confirmation receipts of the students in the Full Gradecenter under Reports and then selecting Submission Receipts. Students will recieve an e-mail with their the code of their submission confirmation receipt and they can find their Submission Receipt in Blackboard via Mygrades and click on Submitted. At the bottom of the page they will see the word Submission, by opening this , the student will see an overview of all of his submission receipts.
