The Short Answer question type also requires the instructor to mark the answers, but the space for answering a question is more limited than in the Essay question type.

• Select the Short Answer question type.
• If desired, you can give the question a title in the Question Title field.
• Formulate the question in the Question Text field.
• Under 2. Answer, specify how many lines can be used for the answer.
• Click on Submit to save the question.
