Blackboard Summer upgrade 2017
This page will shortly inform you about changes in Blackboard, because of the update in July 2017. Two notable changes will be mentioned first.
Blackboard gets a new Look and Feel!
As an end-user – teacher or student- you will notice that Blackboard will look different after the upgrade*. The new Blackboard design has different color, fonts and spacing. These changes don’t influence the functionalities of Blackboard. More information about the new look and feel, you’ll find it here.
With this new look and feel, because of the new theme Learn 2016, it isn’t possible anymore to change the text- and backgroundcolor of the menu in a course.
Assignments with submission receipts
A new functionality for the students is, everytime when they hand in a assignment a submission receipt will be made for this assignment. This allows the student to demonstrate that he/she has submitted the assignment. An e-mail will be send as well. More information about this, you’ll find it here.
New and modified functionalities
This upgrade brings also some new and modified functionalities. They are briefly named below. Click on a topic for more information:
- Assignments Self and Peer assessments
- Drag-and dropfiles
- New behavior Cancel- and Submit buttons and a new appearance for buttons
- Grade center and Needs grading
