Creating groups

Groups introduction

It is often useful to divide students into groups. This has some important benefits, such as:

  • Group members can easily collaborate by means of tools that the instructor can make available, such as File Exchange, Group Blog, Group Discussion Board and Group Wiki.
  • In the Grade Center, Smart Views can be created for each group, so that only the results of the group members are displayed.
  • Adaptive Release makes it possible to provide each group with specific course materials.

As an instructor, you have access to all groups and all of their work. A student can be assigned to several groups.

Collaboration can be facilitated via group tools:

  • File Exchange
  • Group Blog
  • Group Discussion Board
  • Group Journal
  • Group Tasks
  • Group Wiki
  • Send Email
