Tests can be created and published directly from a Content Area, accessed via the navigation menu (see Creating a test from a Content Area).

You can also create a test without making it available straightaway, by creating it within the Course Tools section, accessed via the Course Management menu (see Creating a test from Course Management).

Finally, you can also first create a question pool, from which questions can later be drawn randomly or on the basis of pre-determined criteria to create multiple tests. If the pool contains a sufficient number of questions with good metadata, each student can even receive a different – but equivalent – test (see Creating a test from a Question Pool).
